MILLENNIUM'S END: THE FANDOM MENACE
Millennium's End: The Fandom Menace is a documentary chronicling the anticipation for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace during the two years prior to the movie's release in May 1999. The film, which was produced and directed by Jeff Cioletti, includes interviews with such individuals as Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News and the creative forces behind such websites as JediNet.com, Starwarz.com and TheForce.net as well as the team behind "Blue Harvest" magazine. Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi also appears in the film. Events such as Dragon*Con, EmpireCon, The Star Wars Celebration and the 1999 "midnight toy run" are featured in the film. The documentary captures the most exciting time to be a Star Wars fan, the end of the Millennium. Millennium's End: The Fandom Menace premiered on April 21, 2000 and has been screened at conventions and other exhibition venues throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
